Porsche Drive FAQTo register for participation in the Porsche Drive program, please visit the Porsche Drive web application, select a preferred location along with a vehicle of interest, and click the Register to Request button. You will need to verify your phone number, submit a clear picture of your driver's license (front and back), complete a selfie, provide a credit card in your name, provide proof of your auto insurance policy, and allow us permission to review your motor vehicle record. Once all documentation is received, we will review your application for participation.To be eligible to participate in the Porsche Drive program, drivers must at all times:
- - be at least twenty-five (25) years of age
- - hold an unencumbered driver’s licence valid for use in the jurisdiction(s) in which you will use the Vehicle(s)
- - have a driving record that is acceptable to PDCL, including but not limited to: less than two (2) major violations; less than four (4) minor violations; and, zero (0) criminal violations, each as defined by us
- - have an authenticated mobile phone number
- - be an individual named insured under a valid consumer automobile insurance policy for a vehicle in accordance with the terms of the applicable Porsche Drive Master Rental Agreement (“Agreement”)
- maintain residence in the jurisdiction where the Agreement was executed- - have an acceptable credit score, in Porsche Drive’s sole discretion
- - have a clear criminal record
- have a valid credit card with a name on the card that is identical to your name
Minor traffic violations include (but are not limited to) offences such as failure to signal or failing to yield. Major traffic violations include (but are not limited to) distracted driving, or failure to report an accident. Criminal traffic violations include (but are not limited to) offences such as excess speeding, or dangerous driving. These violations listed are for example purposes only. All Porsche Drive vehicles are hand-detailed and delivered by a knowledgeable concierge. The vehicles include limited insurance coverage, all scheduled maintenance, roadside assistance, and appropriate seasonal tires.
The Monthly program includes 2,500 km of vehicle usage per month; the Daily program includes 400 km of vehicle usage per day.Porsche Drive is currently available in Toronto, ON; Vancouver, BC; Kelowna, BC; and Montreal, QC.Porsche Drive offers a variety of vehicles from the current Porsche model lineup including 911, 718, Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, and Taycan. To access the most current list of available vehicles, please visit the Porsche web application. Model type and trim are subject to availability and can vary by location and seasonality.Vehicles are equipped in various interior and exterior colours and finishes, with a variety of packages and options, including Exclusive Manufaktur options. We cannot guarantee the availability of certain options. Vehicle listings will include images and list some of the equipment. Please contact us for further details on a particular vehicle. For our Monthly program, the minimum commitment period is one month. The Monthly program will automatically renew every month thereafter (except in Quebec), unless you cease renting or possessing a program vehicle.
For members using a vehicle from our Montreal location, there is a maximum usage period per vehicle of 3 months. After this time, members may choose to either rent another vehicle or conclude their participation in the Porsche Drive program.
Please note that members may be required to exchange vehicles if the current vehicle needs to be retired, requires maintenance, or for any other reason in Porsche’s sole discretion, at which point a concierge will reach out to you directly.If you have been approved to participate in the Porsche Drive program, you will receive a confirmation email. At this point, you may visit the Porsche Drive web application to request a vehicle. The vehicle request includes your vehicle of interest, preferred time and date of delivery, and delivery location. Once your request is received, a Porsche Drive concierge will contact you to confirm your booking and outline the next steps. You may also contact us via phone, text, or email to request a vehicle. The monthly or daily fee will be charged when delivery of the vehicle has been confirmed. For the Monthly program, subsequent payments will be charged on the same day each month. Any additional charges, such as fuel, will be charged when the vehicle is returned.A minimum 30-day notice period is required to end your monthly rental period. Please notify us by phone, email, or text to confirm return details.Yes, there is a cancellation fee of $750, plus applicable taxes, when a vehicle reservation is not cancelled with at least 72 hours prior written notice (except in Quebec). Fuel usage is not included in the program fee. However, all Porsche Drive vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle is exchanged or returned with less than a full tank, a Porsche Drive concierge will refill the vehicle and charge this amount to your account.All battery electric Porsche Drive vehicles are delivered at full charge. At vehicle exchange or return the vehicle must have a minimum of 25% charge remaining. There is no additional fee for vehicle charging at the end of your term. For members of the Monthly program one secondary driver may be added to the account, if that person is approved by Porsche Drive as eligible. The secondary driver must also meet the driver’s requirements.
For Daily users, no secondary drivers are permitted.We expect our members to take care of Porsche Drive vehicles as if they are their own. Drivers are responsible for any loss of the Vehicle and/or any damage to the Vehicle beyond normal wear and tear. Drivers are also responsible for returning the vehicle to us in good working order and ready for use by another driver. We ask that members please drive responsibly, keep the vehicle clean, and let us know of any damage.Insurance coverage on the vehicle is limited to the applicable provincial or territorial minimum insurance requirements. The automobile insurance policy contains exclusions, conditions, and limitations. You are responsible for any accident, loss or damage that is caused by you (or an approved secondary driver) during the applicable program period. It is within Porsche’s sole discretion to determine whether a claim for any such loss or damage will be submitted for insurance coverage. A copy of the insurance card can be found in the vehicle glovebox.Yes, in the event of any accident, loss, or damage, you will be charged $5,000. If damages are less than $5,000 you will be refunded the difference.No, driving to the United States of America is prohibited. Driving the vehicles to any place outside of the province of delivery requires prior written approval from Porsche Drive Canada.No, the vehicles cannot be used for any business purposes, including to transport people or goods in commerce. Yes, all scheduled maintenance is included. Please note that we may request the return of a vehicle at any time to perform maintenance, change tires, or retire a vehicle from our fleet.Yes, pets are allowed in vehicles, but they must be transported in a crate. A cleaning fee may be applied if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty. No, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in all Porsche Drive vehicles and will result in a cleaning fee and rejection of any further rentals through the Porsche Drive program.No, all track use is strictly prohibited for Porsche Drive vehicles and will result in membership termination. Fines and penalties will also incur an administrative fee of $100.First, make sure that everyone is safe and try to get the vehicle to a safe place. In the event of an accident, exchange information with the other parties and notify the police to obtain a police report. If needed, call Porsche Roadside Assistance at 1-800-PORSCHE to receive a complimentary tow. Please advise roadside assistance that you are a Porsche Drive member and to tow the vehicle to the Porsche dealership you initially received the vehicle delivery from.
